Google has been on quite of a roll with its LIFE photo archive for some time now, however they have completely one-upped themselves by publishing every LIFE magazine from 1936-1972 electronically and free of charge. For a history nut such as myself, this is pretty good news.
Google even implemented a full-text search engine on all digitalized copies of LIFE magazine, making it easier to find that 1965 ad for portable Admiral television sets. Like the source article suggests, I do recommend you view the magazine pages in full-screen with the facing-pages view, as it does make for more impressive browsing.
